Cashless services continue to take the Philippines by storm and so is the Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) industry. One Philippines-based BNPL startup, BillEase is celebrating it’s 5th birthday in making Pinoys happy in advance.

From September 23-27, 2022, BillEase in coordination with its partner shops is offering 0% interest on installments of up to 6 months. Shoppers can register online anytime using Billease’s app with the following steps:

1. Download the BillEase app on Google Play or the App Store.
2. Select your desired credit amount.
3. Submit your docs: 1 valid ID, proof of billing, and proof of income.
4. Wait for approval within one business day.

Fortunately, being a credit card holder is not required. BillEase, like other BNPL services, pegs itself as an alternative for people who currently don’t qualify for credit cards. 

Similar to other BNPL services offered outside of banks, you will need to put in a ⅓ of the total cost as a downpayment for your total purchase. Whatever remains will be entered into the deferred payment program of 3-6 months, depending on what your preference is or the terms offered by the partner merchant.
