Food Delivery Guide For Restaurant And Food Business Owners

One of the things that the pandemic has taught business owners is that, if you won’t adapt, your business won’t survive. While this isn’t applicable to all businesses, many from the food and beverage (F&B) industry definitely have the option to do so nowadays.

During the lockdowns, online platforms such as GrabFood and FoodPanda made restaurant businesses available to customers even when they are not allowed to go out. And even when the restrictions were lifted, a lot of people still chose to have their food delivered as it is a lot less hassle than going out to eat; with all the commuting, heat and dealing with people, etc.

While this isn’t a foolproof method because it also has its own pain points (we’ll get to that later), it will at least add a selling channel for your business. On a regular day without a pandemic, this is a good strategy to augment your business. During a crisis that limits people’s movements, this is probably the only channel where you can get a customer.

Two years after the pandemic, there are significantly more app-based food delivery services in the Philippines other than GrabFood and Food Panda; though most of them serve a specific locale like certain cities only. With that being said, knowing how to partner with these platforms will definitely leverage your presence as a resto or food business owner.
