No Web Registration, No Salary Loan – SSS
SSS members are now required to sign up for an online account on their website before they can apply for a salary loan.
In their most recent Real-Time Process of Loans (RTPL) Quick Reference Guide published on November 6, 2019, application of salary loans must now be done online starting November 11, 2019.
The publication they released stated the following:
“To avail of a Salary Loan, the member must register first at www.sss.gov.ph. Those without access to internet may proceed to nearest SSS Branch to avail of the e-Center facility for registration and/or loan application”
Other assistance loans such as calamity, emergency, and education loans will still be filed in SSS branches for documentary requirements. Despite the exceptions, registration at My.SSS remains to be a mandatory requirement for the loan applications of all kind.
The SSS is a government-owned and controlled corporation (GOCC) that operates the social insurance program for private-sector employees. Members are entitled to a package of benefits under the Social Security and Employees’ Compensation (EC) Programs in the event of death, disability, sickness, maternity, and old age.
