Water Interruption Scheduled Over The Holy Week

Water Interruption Scheduled Over The Holy Week

The water service interruption isn’t over yet. This upcoming holy week, Maynilad customers in part of Manila, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Parañaque, Pasay, Las Piñas, and Bacoor, Cavite will yet again experience temporary service interruption.

This service interruption, however, isn’t due to low water supply. Instead, according to Maynilad’s announcement, these interruptions would be a result of several water network enhancement activities they plan to conduct from April 16, 2019 (Holy Tuesday) to April 20, 2019 (Black Saturday).

The duration of the service interruption will differ per area. According to Maynilad Water Supply Operations head Ronaldo Padua , some will have no water for five hours only, while others will be for 30 hours.

Maynilad said activities to be conducted include facility maintenance works, pipe decommissioning, pipe interconnections, and valve replacements.

The water concessionaire advised their customers to stock up on water at least three days before the scheduled interruption. They also assure that the enhancement activities are in line with efforts to improve water services in the West Zone for the long term.

Maynilad will have 40 water tankers on standby and will be ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed.
